Angel Anael - Marriage

Anael is another name for the Archangel Hagiel, ruler of  Venus, the planet of love.  Anael is the Angel of Marriage, blessing couples who choose to sanctify their love by splicing their destinies as husband and wife.  Anael delights in all love and affection expressed between people, but the faith and commitment required by marriage receive his special blessings when he is invited to grant them.  If you hope for marriage as the fulfillment of a relationship in which you or people you car for are already involved, you can call upon Anael for assistance.  Anael cannot interfere in people's destinies, but, if it is possible for your wish to come true, you can be sure that Anael will help open all the necessary doors that lead to wedlock.  Here is a ritual to invoke anael's aid.

Remove the thorns from a single red rose and a single white rose.  Hold the stems together and slip over them three rings - one silver, one gold, and one copper. Place them on your alter or on your bed with a white candle on either side.  Light the candles and burn some sandalwood or storax.  Face the east and recite this prayer or something similar in your own words:-

In the name of the Almighty Creater,
In whom all things have their beginning and end,
I invoke you, Archangel Anael,
Ordained as the Angel of marriage,
To bless and nurture the relationship between .......... and .......... (fill in names),
Allowing it to blossom into the true devotion, Made sacred by holy matrimony.
